Overview
Remodelling and extension of entire house in North London. The house sits within a suburban late Edwardian terrace. The project concept was to create a practical, modernist interior within this classically proportioned house.
A side extension has allowed the creation of a large Kitchen that connects to the garden to provide a great entertaining space.
The extension roof is self cleaning glass to allow natural light to penetrate deep into the space. A concrete cantilevered seat in the Kitchen continues in the garden to break down the internal/external boundaries.
Materials have been used along axises to extenuate depth. Views have been created from front to back by removing walls and to enhance the feeling of openness.
